On July 27, 2023, SIMT Na Yuan New Materials held its first public appearance event at the company headquarters (Wuxi), including the opening ceremony of the Na Yuan Engineering Technology Center, the unveiling and signing ceremony of the joint laboratory, and a seminar on the new energy battery industry. The event came to a successful conclusion with the strong support of relevant leaders, scholars from all walks of life, and friends in Xinwu District, Wuxi.

In order to focus on the productization and industrialization of positive electrode materials for sodium ion batteries, SIMT Sodium Yuan New Materials has established an engineering technology center in Xinwu District, Wuxi. The center is equipped with the latest standard fully automated production equipment (hundred ton pilot line) to achieve integrated continuous production from feeding to discharging, which can better provide customers with products with stable processes and sufficient output. The official launch of the Engineering Technology Center is an important step for Na Yuan New Materials to undertake research and development, connect with customers, focus on innovation, and explore the market. It also indicates that a new force of Na Electric has officially emerged.

Since its establishment, SIMT Sodium Yuan New Materials has always adopted a combination of independent research and development and joint development strategies. This time, it has signed joint laboratory construction and a series of special joint development projects with universities such as Southern University of Science and Technology and the Institute of Nanotechnology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, continuously deepening its cooperation with top domestic universities and increasing cooperation stickiness; Both sides will play their respective backbone roles in future cooperation, promoting the steady development of sodium power and new energy industries.

At the same time, SIMT New Materials also invited Professor Stephen Passerini, a member of the German Academy of Sciences, and his team from the Department of Energy at Politecnico di Milano to introduce more cutting-edge research and academic resources to SIMT. In the near future, SIMT will build a communication bridge with the European new energy industry, bringing more opportunities and cooperation space for both sides to work together and achieve win-win development.

SIMT Sodium Yuan New Materials also held a seminar on the new energy battery industry, together with academicians of the German Academy of Sciences, experts and professors from Politecnico di Milano and Southern University of Science and Technology in Italy, to explore the development opportunities of the battery industry in the future, especially the development opportunities and challenges of sodium ion batteries and related materials.

Dr. Liu Zhongqing, CEO of Naiyuan New Materials, expressed sincere gratitude to all the partners who have supported and helped Naiyuan all the way at the meeting. He felt extremely honored that all the guests could take the time to attend and witness SIMT Naiyuan New Materials taking the first step towards industrialization together. Dr. Liu said, "The global energy transformation is imperative, and green new energy is becoming a global consensus. New energy is in a period of great strategic opportunities. However, the path of productization and industrialization of sodium ion cathode materials is still full of challenges. In the long term, sodium far needs the full cooperation of upstream and downstream partners in the industry chain, fully leveraging their respective advantages, focusing on the actual needs of strategic customers, and realizing the closed loop of commercialization of sodium ion batteries as soon as possible, truly realizing the new power of sodium far and creating a new future
